About Kristin Vartan

I am a forward thinker with a vintage soul. My songs touch on modern issues and emotions (my experiences with romance, empowerment, and the culture of the moment), but I mix those topics with an eclectic sound that is for the modern ear, with motifs from the past (musical riffs with old world sounds, sometimes stringed instruments, nostalgic lyrics that reflect on past time periods and literature and notes from my travels). 

My sound is alternative/pop meets cinematic. My lyrics touch on romance and self-empowerment--universal experiences that we all share--with a mix of novel-like storytelling. I am authentic in the words and feelings I present in my lyrics, and I choose melodies that coincide with the emotions that I am trying to communicate. My music is all about reaching the soul, whether to inspire/empower, move people, or help them cope with difficult points in their life.
